Why I want a Wife

1.  Yes it is talking about how the man's friend wants a wife, so now he wants a wife that can do everything possible. He is basically saying he wants a wife that is superwoman.
2.  He is letting the readers know that he wants a wife, and he gives out details repeatedly so that we can know what type of wife he wants.
3. I think she wants a wife that is perfect. Maybe the guy in the story has a wife but she does not fufil his needs. Maybe he wants his wife to do everything that he is describing.
4. Brady wants a wife that will do everything in the house. I think brady just wants to be free and have his to be all of those.

Thurber Satire

What  i liked about the satires as it gave a lot of details. It also used alot of
imagery so you could picture what is going on through out the satires.
It also made your mind wonder. The kind of were similar to the fables that
I read yesterday because even though we dont think about it each story
teaches a lesson and it was set up in a way sort as the fables.  Thurber does
not suprise me as much but he does interest me.

Fairy Tale Poem

Little Red Riding Hood and the Grinch

I am just a little pretty girl,
Living in a pretty brown cabin,
It is around christmas time,
My mom puts up our christmas tree,
our lights, and a big reindeer in the yard
I immediately get excited,
I dangle around watching the pretty lights outside,

Its christmas eve,
time to make cookies and milk for santa clause,
I sat them out on the kitchen table and then head to bed,
I can't sleep and something awakens me,
I quickly jump out of my little wooden bed
and go downstairs quietly to peek at my gifts,
and i see the grinch sitting there trying to take my presents,
i cry and scream mommy,
she wakes and he hurries fast out the door and never comes back!

Valentine's Day

Though at times you make me sick with anger
Your the one that i will always desire
My heart goes crazy like im a singer
The sensation you give puts me on fire
We share something that most people want: love
we have a special thing that i adore
Cause our love is with two hands in one glove
Everyday with you make me love you more
You have made my hard brick walls start falling.
I was afraid to let you in my heart
But now the afraidness is gone, defeat is calling
when i think about us i think it was smart
Some day i think we will be married
On a beach where we could wake up to the pretty sand
Or take tours around the beach on our ferry.
I think you can be that man.

I believe- Sam's Valentine

I loved this essay, because it showed that a child can do anything when they have the right help. Sometimes a teacher do not realize that they have a very strong reflect on a child. They can do anything when they take the time to help a child out and figure out what his strengths are and use that to help a child become more successful.
